Another task today was applying to The Society for Authors for permission to use the 2 lines of poetry which gave rise to the title of A Greater World.
And over The Blue Mountains
We found a greater world.
I'm not even sure the poem was ever printed - I think it was commissioned as the lyrics to one of the songs by Elgar in his A Pageant of Empire in 1911. The poem itself is not very good - very much of its period - a bit sentimental - but it's a great fit for my story.
