Image of the front Cover of the novel 'A Greater World' by Calare FlynnI’m very pleased with the cover for A Greater World – done by Jane Dixon-Smith of JD Smith Design. Jane is now working on the cover for Kurinji Flowers – and I am cracking on with the horrible and frustrating task of setting the two texts up for Kindle. I would have outsourced the task but I figured it would be a worthwhile skill to acquire – as we have some Kindle textbooks in the pipeline for Make it and Mend it.

Another task today was applying to The Society for Authors for permission to use the 2 lines of poetry which gave rise to the title of A Greater World.
And over The Blue Mountains
We found a greater world.

I’m not even sure the poem was ever printed – I think it was commissioned as the lyrics to one of the songs by Elgar in his A Pageant of Empire in 1911. The poem itself is not very good – very much of its period – a bit sentimental – but it’s a great fit for my story.
